Weekly Teachings

Written by NCWC. Posted in The Seeker's

Our classes are taught some basic lessons every week on top of the actual weekly lesson. Below you will find these lessons.

  1. Snack Time - Crackers
(Crackers are less like to cause hyper children opposed to sugar filled substitutes)

  2. Giving
    1. Leave a coin (offering) with your child; so that, when the offering is taken, he/she can participate. If you are worried that your child may put the coin in his/her mouth, you may leave it with the teacher.
    2. When we give to God, He always gives back to us good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, good and perfect gifts; He gives more abundantly than we ask, etc. (Depending on the teacher they may take up the offering at snack time)By doing this they learn to give, but they also, can learn that God wants to reward us for wanting to give to Him.

      1. All good things come from God: toys, dads & moms, milk, blankets, etc (anything on their level they can understand)

    3. This is the time to teach the children discipline.
      1. By having the children sit in the same place to have their snack every time they are with you, teaches discipline.

      2. They will also learn to be giving when they are putting their money in the offering bucket. Which will help them to learn to be good tithers as well.

      3. Also, when we teach them to always stay in one location with their snacks it will teach them to be careful of what God has given to us (a beautiful church), and we want to take care of it by not dribbling cracker crumbs over the entire room.

  3. Praise and Worship
Preschoolers love music. They love to dance and they love to praise God!

  4. Bible
    1. We do read from our Bibles in the classroom.
      1. If your child has a little Bible that they can bring from home that is great, when it is time to read from the Bible if they have one to hold in their hands it helps them to connect with God just that much more.

      2. This is also the perfect time to have them say the word "Bible".
    2. We would also like to encourage mommies and daddies to discipline yourselves by taking the time and reading from the Bible each day to your child.
